Your first RoFront match
Choose a learning match, claim a defensible start and turn your first expansion into a stable nation.
SOURCES REVIEWED 21 OCTOBER 2026
Start with a small, defensible border. A fast opening matters less if the next attack leaves your whole nation exposed.
Join the right game and choose a learning run
Open RoFront [World PvP] by Torrey Pines. You command a nation on an overhead map. This guide concerns territory conquest, buildings and diplomacy.
The recorded menu offers public play and PLAY SOLO. For learning, use a Solo run so you can inspect the interface without copying a public opponent’s pace. The October 19 guide describes Relaxed, Standard and Brutal difficulties; its Standard recommendation is beginner advice. NoobBlox’s demonstration uses World on Brutal. Menu availability can change.
Make your opening in five deliberate moves
- Choose an unclaimed starting location. Prefer a position with fewer immediately exposed land borders. A map edge or coastline is worth considering; check nearby nations before choosing it. A corner limits directions, but does not remove the risk of a later sea invasion.
- Read the protection timer. The recorded Brutal Solo run starts with 2:00 protection. Use the timer your match displays; do not assume public PvP gives the same window.
- Take small adjacent targets first. Set a small attack commitment, make one expansion, and compare the troops remaining with the next target. NoobBlox demonstrates 10% early, then larger commitments under safer conditions. The percentage is a starting example, not a rule for every border.
- Pause at the first strong neighbor. Let troops recover instead of repeatedly sending them into a better defended nation. Read the Attacks panel for another active front; consider an alliance if that border is the immediate threat.
- Consolidate before another war. Inspect a City if troop capacity limits you, or a Factory near existing buildings if income is the bottleneck. Check its present gold cost before placing it.
Check whether the opening actually worked
You should have a connected area, a troop reserve and a clear view of your dangerous borders. Land gain alone is an incomplete checkpoint. If the next neighbor is much stronger, stop issuing attacks, let troops replenish and build on secure land. If a hostile front opens elsewhere, inspect it before spending the rest of your army on the original target.
Example: your first expansion reaches a large nation while the opposite coast is still quiet. Taking one more small neutral pocket is a different risk from opening a war against that nation. The suggested learning choice is to secure the small pocket, check the reserve and improve the economy before adding a major front. This is an editorial application of the recorded strategy, not a combat prediction.
Know what finishes the match
The published objective is 80% world control. Keep checking the World Control display as territory changes. The recorded run ends with a VICTORY screen after crossing the target. A successful opening or a large regional empire does not itself mean you have won.
If eliminated, use Play Again and change one opening choice: spawn exposure, attack commitment or the moment you confronted a strong neighbor. A repeatable learning loop is more useful than treating a creator’s country-by-country route as a guaranteed script.
If a public join sends you to another map
A viewer asked how to choose the desired map when a full public lobby sends them elsewhere. A reply under the October 18 NoobBlox video suggested a separate World server. That is a community report, not a verified server-routing rule. Inspect the game’s current map and server choices for World; if no suitable public slot is available, Solo / World is the demonstrated learning alternative.
We did not establish a way to force entry into a full World lobby or a guaranteed map-selection shortcut. Avoid copying a shooter map tutorial: it concerns a different game.
