RoFront Alliances: Offers, Flank Safety and Betrayal

Use RoFront alliances to reduce pressure on a border, confirm a pact before committing troops and assess the reported costs of Betray & attack.

SOURCES REVIEWED 21 OCTOBER 2026

An accepted alliance can let you concentrate on another front. Sending an offer is not confirmation, and the pact does not protect borders shared with other nations.

Turn a dangerous neighbor into a covered flank

  1. Identify the actual threat. Open the Attacks panel and inspect the nations sharing your border. An alliance is useful when that particular neighbor is the reason you cannot safely move troops elsewhere.
  2. Select the neighbor and offer Ally. AllThingsHow's October 19 report describes the Ally option in the territory wheel and the ability to accept a proposal. Use the current menu's labels; the website cannot accept an offer for you.
  3. Check that the pact exists. A pending offer or a refusal is not a covered border. Confirm the game's alliance state before treating that flank as friendly.
  4. Recheck the rest of your perimeter. Keep troops for other hostile neighbors and naval access. A bilateral pact is a relationship with that nation, not immunity for your territory.
  5. Use the breathing room for a defined task. Rebuild troops, consolidate captured infrastructure or finish an existing front. Revisit the alliance state before making another large commitment.

In NoobBlox's Solo demonstration around 07:20, Australia being allied is the reason the creator considers a large attack elsewhere less exposed. The explanation depends on that local situation; it does not establish a safe attack percentage for every alliance.

Example: a strong neighbor beside an overseas war

Your army is preparing a crossing, but a stronger nation borders your cities. Offer that nation an alliance before launching the transport. If accepted, verify the relationship and examine the remaining hostile borders. You may now have one fewer immediate pressure point, but still need a reserve for another neighbor or a naval landing.

If the offer is rejected, preserve the army and reconsider the crossing. Build up, select a nearer objective or wait for the local position to change. Rejection shows that your diplomatic plan failed; it does not prove an attack is inevitable or that the neighbor has declared war.

Check the cost before Betray & attack

NoobBlox uses Betray and attacks allied Australia around 08:25. This demonstrates the action in a Solo run. It does not make betrayal a generally superior choice, and a player pact may carry expectations beyond the AI example.

The recorded betrayal confirmation warns of a 30-second TRAITOR mark visible to every nation. During that period, attacks against you require 50% of their usual troop commitment. This affects the cost of attacks against your nation; it is not a claim that your initial attack automatically loses half its troops. Read the current warning before confirming.

Before breaking a pact, check active attacks, troops remaining after the action, nearby hostile borders and the infrastructure you intend to capture. If your plan requires every other nation to stay idle throughout the reported vulnerability window, delay it. After confirming, monitor both the target and new incoming fronts rather than assuming the first attack settled the war.

Recognize a useful result and a failed plan

  • Useful pact: the alliance is shown as active and you can pursue the intended other front without that ally currently attacking. Continue checking; diplomacy does not remove the need to read the map.
  • No pact: the offer remains unresolved or is refused. Keep that border in your threat assessment.
  • A betrayal does not finish the target: do not automatically spend the remaining army on another push. Inspect the defender, your reserve and incoming attacks first.
  • The ally owns valuable buildings: intact capture may be attractive later, but building value alone does not erase the military cost of opening that border.
